02/28/2020

In celebration of Black History Month, the Yale School of Engineering & Applied Science is excited to announce the launch of the "Discussions on Science and Diversity" video series.

This series features associate professor of biomedical engineering, Anjelica Gonzalez, in casual conversations with scientific leaders focusing on their career trajectories and views on diversity.

Today's release is a discussion with Manu O. Platt, associate professor of biomedical engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University. Platt discusses, among other things, his career path, his interpretation of the term "diversity," and ways in which we can all work together to promote a more inclusive research environment.
