Mark Saltzman Inducted Into Iowa State CBE Hall of Fame

Prof. Mark Saltzman was inducted into the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering Hall of Fame at Iowa State University this week.

The Goizueta Foundation Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Chemical & Environmental Engineering & Physiology, Saltzman is a 1981 graduate of Iowa State.

Saltzman, who attended the ceremony Monday, was recognized for his "impact on the fields of drug delivery, biomaterials, nanobiotechnology, and tissue engineering." A plaque in Saltzman's honor was placed on the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering Hall of Fame wall in the lobby of Sweeney Hall

Saltzman came to Yale in July of 2002 and was the founding chair of Yale's Department of Biomedical Engineering from 2003-2015.
