Bart Spronck interviewed on Dutch national radio
Bart Spronck, a postdoctoral associate in Biomedical Engineering, was interviewed on August 28 by NPO Radio 1, a Dutch national radio channel.
Spronck is funded by a Rubicon grant from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research to develop a novel experimental approach to characterize arterial stiffness under pulsatile conditions in collaboration with Maastricht University, the Netherlands. In the 10-minute interview, Bart speaks about his research into arterial stiffness including work here at Yale University. Increased arterial stiffness is a cause and consequent of many cardiovascular diseases; it manifests in aging, hypertension, and multiple connective tissue disorders.
