Tuning colloidal interactions in foams and suspensions

Anirudha is currently an Associate Research Scientist in the Performance Silicones business of The Dow Chemical Company. He completed his bachelor's in Chemical Engineering in 2014 from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur in India. He earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering and a certificate in Technology Management in 2019 from the University of California Santa Barbara, where he studied the diffusiophoretic and solutal Marangoni transport of colloids with Prof. Todd Squires. He joined Dow in 2019 where he has been studying the phase behavior of surfactants and polymers to better understand the complex colloidal interactions in multi-component industrial and consumer products. Anirudha is the recipient of the Schlinger Fellowship for excellence in chemical engineering research, UCSB Dissertation Fellowship, Dow Gold Award for excellence in product development, and was recently named a finalist for the ACS Victor Lamer Award.
