Prof. Jung Han Selected As Fellow of Optical Society (OSA)

Prof. Jung Han has been selected as a fellow of the Optical Society (OSA).

Han, the William A. Norton Professor in Technological Innovation, was named a 2017 fellow at the OSA’s most recent board of directors meeting.  He is being honored specifically for sustained contributions to the epitaxial growth technology for wide bandgap semiconductor optoelectronic devices, particularly GaN-based ultraviolet LEDs and lasers.

Founded in 1916, OSA is the leading professional association in optics and photonics, home to accomplished science, engineering, and business leaders from all over the world. Through publications, meetings, and membership programs, OSA provides information and interactions that promote achievements in the science of light.
